It was so simple with the ChouAmi Kit; had everything I needed in the kit, although I did purchase the kraut pounder separately and the Celtic Sea Salt; which I would recommend. This was all I needed to make my first batch and the taste was so much more fresh that what I have bought in the store. I can't wait to ferment other vegetables with my ChouAmi.

I've only tried the "Perfect Pickle" variety so far, and the name speaks for itself! I was worried about how my pickles would turn out, however they are so good, I eat them every day. I'm sure I will be just as happy with the other 2 variety. I also really enjoy the glass jar with an air-tight lid - they look beautiful on my counter top and it is like a second gift to be able to continue to use the jar for other spices or something else after these spices have served their purpose.

I just finished my first batch of sauerkraut and brown mustard seeds (two different things, lol) and couldn’t be pleased more with how hassle-free it is. I used to carefully cover my kraut with a big cabbage leaf and put weights on top, but it would still overflow and cause a mess as it fermented. I was always fighting to keep everything under the brine. With ChouAmi, I didn’t have to think about it at all, and the spring kept the kraut from overflowing or coming out of the brine. i would definitely recommend ChouAmi to a friend and may be buying more in the future!

I had ordered the ChouAmi Kit and in shipping the jar had broke. I sent and email asking about the shipping policy and getting the jar replaced. I was answered right away - on a Sunday. The jar was sent out right away and I recieved it in good condition. A day after receiving the jar I got a follow up email asking if my shipment arrived in good condition. This is the best customer service I think I have ever had.

I was wondering how to use the jars for every day storing. I initially was disappointed when I could not find a top. The one that came with the jar rusted easily . To the rescue. These tops are perfect. I know that many use them for canning but for those of us who do not. This is the answer .
Now I have to acquire a set for each of my jars. Yeah

I'm always on the hunt for products that are plastic free. This is an amazing project. The seal on the Fermenter is silicone & it comes off for cleaning. If you need to replace it, it's very easy to do. The quality of all the parts for the Fermenter top notch.
I admire you offer stainless stain replacement for the glass jars. Simple but effective to get plastic from getting in contact with your food. I'll be getting some soon.
I really prefer the wide mouth Le Parfait Familia Wiss Terrine. Much easier to get ingredients in versus the traditional wide mouth mason jars.

I'm a newbie, who thought I hated sauerkraut. After reading about the huge benefits of fermented foods, I decided to try to make my own. On my second batch and am just loving it! Going to buy another, with some additional size jars for storing.

I just made fermented pickles delicious !
Made a second batch now, pricy product but high quality as well and will be used for years & years to come - buy the best, it’s always the cheapest.

I can't believe how sturdy (plus attractive) these jar are. Granted Le Parfait jars are expensive, but these will be doing their thing long after I'm gone with the proper care. Love that I can order the rubber rings when they start wearing out. Can't wait to use them for pressure canning. Thanks!!

I have enjoyed using the shredder. It’s is very sturdy and makes perfect shreddings for sauerkraut !

This board is so well made and so attractive that I just might have to use it for serving charcuterie !!

I noticed that some of the ChouAmi recipes said that I should use a wooden spoon or a rolling pin (who has one of those?) or a pounder to compact the vegetables in the jar. I ordered the pounder and I am very glad that I did. It has a large surface which makes it easy to compact my ferment and it is balanced in my hand. I also like that it is embossed with the ChouAmi logo and that it is made from Vermont maple. My first ferment is the holiday kraut which is looking wonderful on my counter. It is only the fifth day but I cannot wait to open it!

I've used a number of jar top devices, mostly plastic, and have to say that I'm thrilled to finally have a device that is environmentally friendly, durable and effective. I'm so very pleased with the results from my ferments - I have yet to lose one to aerobic contamination! Thank you!!!

I like the nice blend of savory flavors in this salt. I primarily use this as a finishing salt on vegetables, meats, eggs--you name it! And Omnivore Salt is a great business in San Francisco that respects time-honored culinary traditions. These days it's more important than ever to shop small and shop local!

I'm a chef and I've been using Celtic Sea Salt in pretty much everything for years. I love the clean, refreshing taste, healthful minerals, and none of the harmful additives and anti-caking agents found in regular table salt. You can't go wrong with this one!
