Shipping & Return Policy


All orders are processed within 24-48 hours, Monday-Friday, and shipped by UPS Ground from Illinois, United States. To see a transit map showing how long it'll take for your order to arrive, visit this page and enter 60126 in the 'shipped from' zip code. Please note this is an estimate; factors such as inclement weather or industry challenges could affect the transit time.

For destinations in the continental US, shipping is $10 maximum on orders less than $75, and FREE for orders over $75. For destinations outside the continental US, shipping fees are based on weight and will be displayed at checkout. Orders shipped to non-US destinations could be subject to local customs/duty fees, which are the sole responsibility of the customer.

Note about international shipping:
We're looking forward to getting your fermenting supplies to you and see what delicious creations you'll make. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the holiday rush, and other industry challenges, orders shipped to non-US destinations may take longer than expected to arrive. Thanks for your patience!

ChouAmi strives to make every purchase go as smoothly as possible. General - All requests for refund/return due to damage, defects, or buyer's remorse must be communicated within 30 days from purchase. Please email (include your full name and order number) for our return address, or if you have questions. Please use an insured courier such as USPS, UPS, or FedEx if you're shipping products back to us.

Damage - Any products that sustained damage during shipping qualify for either a replacement (at no additional charge) or a refund for the quantity that was damaged. In order to verify the damage, the customer is requested to email pictures of the damaged shipping carton and damaged product to us at (include your full name and order number). Once verified, a refund or replacement will be processed within 3-5 days. 
DefectAny concerns of the product raised by the customer will be reviewed by our quality team for a) structural/function and b) visual/blemish. Structural defects caused by manufacturing errors will be considered for full refund or replacement. Minor visual blemishes from the industrial manufacturing process will not qualify for refund or replacement. Major visual imperfections may qualify for replacement upon further review by the quality assurance team. The customer is requested to email pictures of the defects at (include your full name and order number). Once verified, a refund or replacement will be processed, depending on the customer's preference.
Buyer's Remorse - Any unopened, unused products can be returned within original packaging at the customer's expense (Return labels will not be provided). Refunds will be processed once the product is received in good condition. Shipping fees are non-refundable. 
Used - Any used product will not qualify for return or replacement.
